14 ppg, 12 rpg, 2 apg. Started all of her teams games last season
and was named All-conference in Nassau County. Played on the
Roberto Clemente State Park Gazelles 15u team finishing 2nd in
the country at AAU Nationals.

Candice Bellocchio
10 ppg, 1 rpg,
6 apg. A starter on one of the top teams in the state, Candice is
one of the top sophomore prospects in New York and one of only three
underclassmen in the 2004 Metro Classic. During the spring, she
also is a member of her schools varsity Softball team. |
Megan Caskin

10 ppg, 5 rpg, 5 apg. Megan is a multiple all-league, all-county
selection in Suffolk county. A member of the 2003 Empire State Team
for Long Island, Megan is also a standout soccer and track athlete
for Sachem East HS. She has verbally committed to Fairfield
University and will play for them in 2005-06. |
Jennifer Bender
22 ppg, 16
rpg, 5 apg. Jennifer is an outstanding student as well as an
athlete. A Daily News all city selection and Staten Island Advance
all star and Newsday all city selection, Jennifer is being recruited
by Cornell, Lehigh, Marist, Lafayette and Fairfield. |
Chanel Chisholm
17 ppg, 7 rpg, 6 apg. Chanel is ranked as one of the top sophomores
in the country by NIKE and Blue Star. A first team All-Island
selection by Long Island Hoops, Chanel is the only underclassman in
a sea of seniors on thie 2004 Metro Classic Long Island All Star
team. Chanel wants to follow in the footsteps of Silver Bullets
alumni Shay Doron and continue her career at Maryland. |
Dawn Coleman
15 ppg, 7 rpg, 1 apg. Dawn was injured for part of the 2003-04
season, but came back to lead her team to the PSAL finals. A second
team all Queens selection and Daily News and Newsday second team
member, Dawn is currently 3rd in career scoring and rebounding in
her school’s history. Vanderbilt, Hofstra, Siena, Rutgers, Temple
and Binghamton Universities are all vying for her attention. |
Alissandra Fourney
14 ppg, 9 rpg, 3 apg. “Ali” as she is known, was instrumental in
leading Northport to its State title run last year and was named
all-league, all-county and all-state 7th team for her efforts. Ali
is a four time NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete and is looking at Brown,
Bryant, Bucknell, Cornell and Holy Cross to continue her academic
and basketball career. |
Marissa Flagg
20 ppg, 3 rpg, 9 apg. Marissa is a speedy 5’3 dynamo who gets
things going. Her school’s MVP and a second team Daily News,
Newsday all Queens selection, she led her team to the elite 8 of the
PSAL playoffs, losing to eventual champion Murray Bergtraum.
Marissa was also a 2nd team Newsday/Daily News all city selection.
She is interested in Georgia, Temple, Florida St., Virginia, Loyola
and Maryland for her college career. |
Tia Grant

18 ppg, 6 rpg, 4 apg. Tia is a complete player who does many things
well on the court. 2004 CHSAA MVP and member of the 2004 Nike
Select Team for the USA Sports Festival in Colorado, Tia was
instrumental in leading her high school team to a New York State
Class B Catholic and Federation title. First team All-Island by
Long Island Hoops and a candidate for 2005 player of the year—Tia
will lend her vast talents to top twenty ranked Villanova University
for the next four years. |
Diatima Hill
14 ppg, 4 rpg, 6 apg. “Tema” is an excellent 3pt shooter who is one
of the fastest players in the region. A first team all Queens
selection by Newsday and the Daily News, “Tema” is heavily sought
after by many DI schools with Rutgers, Seton Hall, St. John’s and
Duke leading the way. |
Lauren Groom

19 ppg, 9 rpg, 2 apg. Lauren is another great all around player
from the CHSAA. OLMA’s MVP and two time CHSAA All Long Island
selection, Lauren also runs cross country and is the Treasure in the
student government and a member of OLMA’s Leaders Club. Lauren has
verbally committed to Fairfield University and will join fellow
Metro Classic teammate Megan Caskin next year. |
Frances Lyons
20 ppg, 20 rpg, 1 apg. Frances is a monster on the boards and has
received the rebounding award from the PSAL the past two years as
the leagues leading rebounder. A Daily News all city selection,
Frances is the MVP of her team and has a selection of colleges such
as Hofstra, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, William and Mary, South Carolina
and SUNY Albany to choose from. |
Christine Kinneary

Boston University
15 ppg, 5 rpg, 5 apg. Christine is a tough competitor and is the
heart and soul of the very talented Holy Trinity lineup. Last years
NY State MVP in the Class B championships, a Newsday all Long Island
selection and a two time CHSAA all long island selection, Christine
will play at Boston University next year. |
Jessica Fuller
12 ppg, 12 rpg, 2 apg. Jessica as she is known, is a double/double
threat every game. A 2nd team all Queens selection by both Daily
News and Newsday, she led her team in rebounding and blocked
shots—recording 184 in 2004. Heavily recruited by many mid/major
division I programs, Jessica looks to bring her considerable talents
to the next level. |
Kyle Lardner
13 ppg, 4 rpg, 6 apg - 37 3 pointers in 20 games as a junior in high
school. Kyle started at point guard on the 2003 Metropolitan
AAU Junior Olympic team last year representing the region in the
Junior Olympics in Detroit—NY City Metro Classic Coach Vincent
Cannizzaro was also on that trip as the head coach for the squad and
the two will have to face each other on opposite sides of the court
this time around. An all county selection in Nassau, Kyle traveled
with an all star team of AAU players supervised by the Philadelphia
Belles to compete in the Cadet Championships in France in April of
2004. |
Maria Laterza
12 ppg, 10 rpg, 1 apg. Maria is one of only three sophomores in the
2004 Metro Classic. She helped lead her team to CHSAA playoffs and
received the coaches award for her effort. Maria also volunteers
for her church—St. Athanasius. Columbia, Binghampton, UMass,
Bucknell, Alabama and Loyola are expressing interest in her and
there will be many more as her career progresses. |
Anna McLean
Committed to
Iona
18 ppg, 15 rpg, 12 bpg. All State, All-Island, All County. Anna
burst onto the scene her sophomore year and is one of the top post
players in NY State. MVP for the Lady Devils, Anna is also a role
model. She lends her singing talents to Operation Pride—a choral
group that sings while promoting a drug free life. Anna is a vocal
captain with the group and will sing the anthem prior to tonight’s
game. Anna verbally committed to play for Iona College in 2005-06. |
Maureen Marzano
11 ppg, 8 rpg, 2 apg. Maureen is a second team all Brooklyn
selection in both the Newsday and Daily News. She helped lead her
team along with fellow 2004 Metro Classic teammate Melanie Murphy to
the PSAL playoffs. Pace, Muhlenburg, Columbia and Colgate are
challenging for her to wear their uniform in 2005. |
Brittney Messina

Seton Hall
23 ppg, 7 rpg, 5 apg. Brittney is the best pure shooter on Long
Island. Her smooth stroke has earned her Long Island Hoops
All-Island honors as well as all county, all state and conference
player of the year. She led her team to a Nassau county final and
will bring her considerable offensive talents to the aid of Seton
Hall next year. |
Melanie Murphy
18 ppg, 6 rpg, 4 rpg. A first team all city for the Daily News and
first team all Brooklyn and player of the year in Brooklyn, she led
her team to the PSAL playoffs, reaching the semi-finals before
bowing out. One of the top guards in the state and only a junior,
Melanie is a teammate of Naomi Augustin of the Long Island Metro
Classic team, finishing 2nd at the AAU Nationals. Her college
prospects are many and high up. |
Lauren Regan
13 ppg, 9 rpg, 4 apg. Regan is a multiple all county and all league
selection in Suffolk and is a three sport athlete to boot. A member
of the field hockey and lacrosse teams, Regan also serves as
President of the General Student Organization. Both Hartford
University and Sacred Heart University are vying for her services
next year. |
Rashida Mark

15 ppg, 6 rpg, 2 apg. Rashida is one of the top post players in the
CHSAA. An Adidas top ten camp selection along with a Street &
Smith’s Honorable Mention All-America in 2003 and 2004—Rashida has
verbally committed to Penn State, one of the best programs in
women’s college basketball. |
Alexandria
Williams
10 ppg, 5 rpg, 7 apg. Alexandra is an all Long Island, all county,
all conference selection and still finds time to manage the baseball
and football teams at her school while also jamming on the saxophone
for the school band. In her spare time she is also a member of the
varsity softball team. One of the best point guards on Long Island
is looking to lead the one of the best high school teams on Long
Island this year to a state title run. |
Vianca Murray
15 ppg, 10 rpg, 5 apg. Vianca is an excellent low post player who
also has good court vision. A member of Who’s Who in American High
School’s, Vianca also plays volleyball for her school and is one of
the top academic athletes in the PSAL. |

Coach Teresa Huebner
Teresa is one of the
winningest coaches not only on Long Island but in NY State as well.
A 1989 Fordham graduate who played all four years and was named MAAC
Scholar Athlete in 1989. After graduation, she began her career as
a Social Studies teacher at Holy Trinity HS and became its Varsity
basketball coach in 1990. Her 15 year record of 255-103 puts her in
the elite of High School coaches across the U.S. Teresa garnered 6
NSCHSAA Coach of the Year awards, while leading her Titans to 8
straight Long Island Catholic School finals—winning 4 of them in the
process. Teresa capped off a very successful 2004 season with a NY
State CHSAA & Federation Class B title. Teresa and her husband Todd
who also doubles as her assistant coach during her tenure at Holy
Trinity are the proud parents of daughter, Taylor. |
Coach Vincent Cannizzaro
Vincent is the best high
school girl’s basketball coach in New York City, New York State and
the U.S.A. His record is unmatched by anyone in the country and the
legendary program built under his tenure at Christ the King is
international in reputation. His record at Christ the King is
second to none and his ability to coach and develop the great
players who go on to UCONN or Tennessee is only matched by his
ability to get every ounce of potential from those that are short of
those powerhouses. His record speaks for itself—listed below is the

Coach Michael Petre
Mike is one of the most
energetic coaches in the game. His passion and dedication show in
every whirling dervish of a move that he makes while guiding his
troops to victory over countless Suffolk county opponents. His long

Coach Thomas Catalanotto
A longtime dedicated coach
and volunteer, Tom is one of the premier coaches in the Metro NY
area. His dedication for the sport of basketball is second only to
his dedication to his family—his three children all participate in
sports and have gone on to the collegiate level. Tom has worked at
all levels of girl’s basketball and with all ages. He is a
respected competitor and a true representative of the CYO spirit in
sports. His accomplishments over his many years are the following:
